Homage to Winnie the Pooh
This is probably one of my favorite books (actually it is two, Winnie the Pooh and The House at Pooh Corners). For some reason, the older I get, the more I like chidren's books. Something about their simplicity appeals to me. This was so much fun.

This work must bring you closer to the subject than ever. Wonderful job!
These are wonderful! We saw some of the original Shepherd illustrations in London several years ago and I've wanted to pull down our copies to draw some of them. You've inspired me.
This is a really sweet collection. My daughter (2 and a half) is crazy about Winnie The Pooh and I'm trying to ensure that she becomes familiar with Shepherd's illustrations of the characters just as much as the Disneyfied versions, as they are so much purer. I knew both when I was a child and I don't recall ever ever getting confused by the differing depictions.
