Tribute to the animals of the Sunday comics

I love the comics. It is one of the main reasons I get the newspaper. I heard on the news (on the radio, I still don't have TV) that The Philadelphia Newspapers have declared bankruptcy and that all newspapers are in trouble. I often wonder how I would find the comics if I didn't get the paper and where will the artists be able to sell and show their work if not in the paper. I don't want to spend even more time online trying to track down the comics. Then to top that off I opened the paper this morning and the Oregonian is dropping ten of the comics from their pages to save paper and money but the ones they are keeping will be published in color so every day will be the Sunday comics. This just doesn't make sense to me. I like the black and white comics and I love the specialness of the Sunday comics. I know that this might seem a petty complaint. We, at least I, need the comics as a fun diversion in these trying and uncertain times.
