Thanks so much to Margie Boule of the Oregonian for her wonderful column on me this morning. I need to make one clarification. I will be showing my year's work during an art show in the gym at Multnomah Arts Center. I belong to an art group called Portland Art Collective and I will be at the journal table from 1pm to 4pm on December 5th during their annual show. I hope that this will inspire everyone to go for their creative dreams!

Congratulations, Leigh! That's wonderful and it was a really nice article, too. You're definitely an inspiration for those of us who get stuck. :-) Keep up the beautiful work!

Leigh- you did it! Congratulations! Margie Boule wrote a wonderful article about your pursuit of a drawing a day. You can do anything now. It's been fun to follow your journey.

I read about your year-long drawing/blogging project in the Oregonian today and I want to congratulate you. I'm an on-and-off drawer, but a week ago I decided to draw each day. I'm not ready to post each one on my blog, but I admire your bravery. Good for you!

Leigh -
Thank you - so VERY much - for sharing not only your blog, but the piece on you and your amazing determination over the past year. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated it. A few months ago, I discovered Every Day Matters and was instantly hooked ... unfortunately, life would soon prove EDM a BIT more challenging...and so I have struggled keeping up (although I do check the email/posts every day!). But your story has reminded me that if it's important enough, there's time!
Thank you, again, for sharing. I only wish I weren't here in CT - I would love to see your work!
Keep on creating!n
:-) Jenn

Hi Leigh,
I am so glad you are getting the recognition you so richly deserve and I am glad I was along for the journey. I have enjoyed your blog ever since you started posting. I am so impressed with your determination and follow through. Like others before me have said, I wish I lived closer so I could finally meet you and see the exhibit of your work. Congratulations Leigh!
Best wishes,
Trish

Wow, many, many, many, MANY congratulations on your accomplishment, Lee, and having it spread in the news, too! You deserve it.

And most of all, you manage to inspire so many people! Thanks for posting this, and for reminding me that art every day IS possible, even if you commit to only 15 minutes a day.

You've once again sharpened my focus!

love,
(: Pippa

This is such a great story. Congratulations!!! I so admire your tenacity and ability to stick to this goal. Very proud of you - especially that you were so dedicated you got rid of the TV!!! Amazing inspiring story!

You are an inspiration! Your story about the tv reminded me that whenever I go out and about with a book and my Moleskine, I choose the book. Now I leave the book behind (mostly). :) Congratuations on the article and the show!

You deserve all the credit Leigh and congratulations on your achievement! :)
A drawing a day for the entire year is really something, and I'd call it impossible for me to achieve at present time... perhaps someday, and when that time comes, I'll look up to you for the strength and perseverance I need for it.

Congratulations Leigh. I've looked through the last few posts on your blog and find so much resonance with what you say. Like you, I started to blog as a focus for developing my own creativity. Unlike you I haven't committed to producing something new every day! Your personal challenge was a great idea and your drawings are great! Good luck with your shows and confrats on the press coverage.
Janice.
