Well, as obnoxious as this might be, I like this little guy. He is staying with me. He and the wind-up witch really hit it off.

This is one of my favorite drawings so far. I wanted to do more of a compositon but I liked the drawing so much I was afraid I would ruin it. I know overall composition is something I need to work on.

Okay, I am embarrassed to admit this, but I actually ate these. They were quite good. Fruity and chewy. I am not a huge fan of gummy candy but these hit the spot, as long as I didn't think about eating worms.

So what can I say? This little guy makes a nice eerie, scary Halloween sound. How he dispenses his candy is another matter. I am sure plenty of kids will get a kick out of this. A bit gross for my tastes, though it is one of the ones I kept. Robin, from my art group, came by yesterday and took most of the things I have been drawing for her sons. I am thrilled they have a good home. I kept this one because I like the sound it makes and might come in handy one day as a conversation piece.

Well, this is a cute idea. I found that it didn't work as promised. I could barely get a glow out of the tongs. So I took creative license in creating this. I figured the insects needed a break from stealing candy.

These actually look like gelatinous blobs of goo. Through this process I realize what keeps the sugar companies in business. All of these candies are pure sugar.

This lovely fellow is a Halloween spinner with candy in the bottom part (ghosts and pumpkins). You push the spinner in front and you get one of four faces, one featured above and the other three featured below.

I loved the cat's face on this pez. A bit scary with Halloween attitude.

More Halloween weird stuff

So I went to Michaels today for more Halloween candy/novelties. I wish I had brought my camera. I finally had to draw the line at complete grossness. There was a squeeze ball that when squeezed showed either worms or body parts. It was too much. But they had some candy I had not seen. Stay tuned...

On a quest

So I was out and about today looking for more Halloween tricks and treats. I realize that I could really spend too much for this project especially since I try not to eat candy. So I tried to find pictures of some of the candy I didn't buy on line but only found the one above. There was also an edible strawberry gummy heart w/ a plastic scapel along with the frog shown above. The packaging is different this year. Another cute one was a beaker filled with skull and crossbones. One that I wish I could find a picture of was a vial filled with floating gummy body parts in an edible liquid goo. My blood sugar is rising just thinking about it.

New Inchie from last 30 drawings

I meant to post this last week. This is my inchie from the last thirty drawings. Actually I did the button one twice. I decided to do this just in pen. I am in awe of those whose blogs I look at that can make really decent drawings just with a pen. I cannot seem to do this. So this is my daily practice of drawing directly with a pen.

I think the Peeps ghosts and pumpkins (will be posted tomorrow) are new. This candy does not appeal to me since I don't like marshmellows very much. Thought this was very cute.
