First challeges for everyday matters

This was my first challenge for everyday matters. #124--draw something yellow. This squash was this yellow. The first drawing is done with prismacolor, the second one with a derwent inktense pencil and the third one with a yellow marker and a uniball signo rt .038 ball point..my new passion. I found them on jet pens.

This is my second challenge: #158: Draw a kernal of popped popcorn. I did the top kernals in pencil with a watercolor pencil wash around them. The bottom ones were done with micron pens, and graphtint pencils which I just discovered and loved.

Lots of detail in that popcorn. Like the background color in your sketches, too!

You did great on that popcorn and squash. I like how you are trying out different things. I've got to post my popcorn - I didn't draw it as part of the challenge but I guess it fits anyhow and now I've seen two pics of them in two days!
